10-day trek around the Annapurna Circuit, Nepal, 10 October 2015
We bring joy to UK seniors to reduce loneliness and social isolation

Story

Maggie and Pete are off to sunny Nepal on October 10th, for a 10-day trek around the Annapurna Circuit. The highest point of the walk is the Thorung La, which is 5,416 metres above sea level (by comparison, Scafell pike in the Lake District is 978 metres high). So it’s 5½ times as high as Scafell Pike. Scafell Pike is really high!!

Maggie is looking for a reason to take on this stupid holiday/death-defying journey and is hoping that if people sponsor her to do it, she’ll have no choice but to get up there.

All sponsorship will be donated to the Home Instead Senior Care Bring Joy Foundation, http://www.bringjoyfoundation.org/, which is a charity dedicated to bringing a bit of fun back into ageing by funding events and outings for elderly people.
