OUR STORY
We have been friends for some time and we don’t want to say we have been somewhat railroaded into doing this by our Friends and Families…. But we have! The first conversation went along the lines of “ The only way I would ever do anything like this would be with you”, well that backfired…. John said yes!!!
Some of you who know us will know that we that we have a similar sense of humour, the ability to laugh at ourselves and that we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Come and see us dance you will know what we mean! We can just about manage the Conga and the Hokey Cokey (although Maggie still struggles with her left and right) Given that we both decided that as its for Bury Hospice, well why not!?!
We want to raise as much money as possible for the Hospice as it’s a charity that is extremely close to both our hearts and depends so much on the goodwill and support of the Community.
I have Cancer and other related illnesses and want to prove that if I can take part then anyone can. I also have 2 left feet, no balance, no co-ordination, definitely no rhythm and certainly never had a spray tan or wore sequins and lycra!! Maggie on the other hand rocks sequins and lycra, has heaps of patience a wicked sense of humour and loves a challenge. (We’re a perfect dance couple)!!
A very dear friend of ours daughter (Sarah Taylor) sadly passed away in Bury Hospice aged just 28. Sarah’s family and friends have raised over £45,000 for the Hospice and we would dearly love to raise much needed funds so other families can receive the professional care, unconditional love and support that Bury Hospice provides.
So …. Please get behind us, in terms of dancing we need all the help we can get!
Thanks in Advance
