Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you all know I always dedicate my runs to my younger sister Angela Connor. Angela died of Breast Cancer seven and half years ago and to say I miss her really is an understatement. There's no denying that we fought like cat and dog while we were growing up! It breaks my heart now to think that we'll not get to be grumpy old women together!
Angela loved shopping & shoes - she would almost certainly have loved my Red 'Dorothy' Running shoes - although I don't think she would have loved the idea of running 26.2 miles in them! That's my job. This year I am also dedicating the last ten miles to my husband Colin. He ran eight 10K's last June for Cancer Research - only to be diagnosed with cancer himself. He's just had the thumbs up for a clear 6 months.
While I'm out running those 26.2 miles I will be thinking not only of Angela & Colin but of all the lovely, brave and courageous women who have battled and are still battling against Breast Cancer - here's to you girls! There for the grace of God go I.
Well I did it again - a new PB of 4:20:44. Special thanks to Colin for all the washing and ironing not to mention the housework he's had to do over the last 6 months!!
I feel fantastic!!
