Story
The MAF Office is taking part in the Time in Their Shoes fundraiser.
As an office we will be challenging ourselves to cover 3,500km over the month of September.
We are also doing this for a specific purpose. Five years ago, we shared the story about the first successfully separated conjoined twins in the DRC. (Story linked below)

Following on from this story:
In August 2022, Dr Mudji made another call to MAF. This time it was not for a medevac, but to share some tragic news.
One of the twins had contracted malaria and this time there was no happy ending. Without immediate access to antimalarial drugs, the little girl sadly passed away.
The surviving twin is acutely malnourished, and the family need medical assistance from Dr Mudji in Vanga - an MAF flight away.
He said: “I could not believe how one could die of an easily treatable condition. I was furious and angry. I have a passion to improve things in the Congo, but some are too great for me to overcome. MAF, I need your help.”
Please support us with our fundraising challenge and help us fund this essential flight. We want to raise £1 for every kilometer we walk, making it possible for this family to receive help at Vanga Hospital.
Having endured so much, this family needs support, prayer and healing – and we want to walk so they don’t have to.
