Story
Rob worked in the IS SAP Support Team and was very much appreciated by all around him for his friendly nature. He was well respected, knowledgeable and great fun to be around. In June 2013 Rob sadly passed away due to a Thrombosis caused by a snapped Achilles tendon that he got whilst playing Touch Rugby for the Maersk decathlon team. It was a shock to everyone that this can happen to a such an active, healthy man so suddenly which is why we, along with Robs partner Eileen and their families and friends, want to raise awareness of the charity Lifeblood, who promote the dangers and warning signs of a thrombosis. A team from Maersk will be running the Balmoral 10k on 25 April and taking on the dreaded hill in Rob’s Memory whilst raising lots of money for the charity.
He is greatly missed as a colleague and a friend.
