Story
Throughout the Summer term Madley Brook's School Council have set a very AMBITIOUS target to do a virtual physical mission that will get people fit and healthy. The mission is to walk, run, cycle, row, swim (anything that gets your heart pumping) the MAMMOTH distance all around the world (25,000 miles) to raise money for an end of year festival party for the children of Madley Brook. After such an eventful year, the school council feel the children of Madley deserve a treat for all their hard work this year.
The adventure is open to everyone associated with the school – and we would be thrilled with your support. Whether you are a child, parent, step-parent, grandparent or anyone associated with the school, then we would LOVE you to join in our challenging, but hopefully rewarding mission.
How:
We have created a google form that you will be able to use to upload your miles. You can choose the frequency in which to upload the distances. You may wish to do this daily, you may wish to add up your distances weekly. We are calculating the distance in miles.
1. Walk, run, cycle, swim, scoot or row (indoor or outdoor)
2. Measure your distance travelled in Miles
3. Upload your distance to the school google form.
https://forms.gle/
4. upload donations to the fundraising page...
As they say in the Tesco ad, EVERY LITTLE HELPS. That walk to the shop or to school, that weekend family cycle ride etc, it really does add up so please do get involved and help us travel the globe.
The school council will total up the uploaded miles every Wednesday and announce the running totals on the newsletter/class online pages. (dojo/ google classroom/ tapestry)
Please sponsor yourself, your child, your grandchild, your niece, your brother, your neighbour, your friend if you can and help us to raise funds for the children of Madley Brook.
Thank you!
