Story
In a year filled with lockdowns and uncertainty, I have found solace in getting outdoors. I am a better version of myself on the trails - I think deeply, laugh loudly and feel more connected to the world around me. I believe that the most meaningful relationships can be discovered on forest trails, that the best hikes always end in wings and beer, and that the view from the top is always worth the effort.
This summer, I have signed up to the challenge of summiting Mount Rainier (14,410 ft, second highest peak in the Lower-48 states) through Climb for a Cause. I have a goal of raising $2,500 for the Washington National Park Fund (WNPF) that will fund trail maintenance, stewardship, and education to protect park resources of the three largest national parks in Washington (Rainier, Olympic, Cascades). I will be training in each of these parks, and wholeheartedly support the mission of the WNPF - it has made this opportunity a reality for me and many others.
I am incredibly grateful for your donation - no matter the size. I can't wait to share the view from the top.
Love, Madison
