Story
In Febuary 2020, My mum was diagnosed with Breast cancer and this was shortly followed by a second diagnosis of primary lung cancer alongside a brain met. As the first lockdown took effect, my mum underwent brain surgery and later two rounds of chemotherapy. The care my mum has received and continues to receive from Addenbrokes is exceptional and they have been so caring and understanding to us all throughout three lockdowns and a difficult 18 months. I'm taking part in Addenbroke's 1000 challenge, not only to help them purchase a surgical robot but to give back and say thanks for all they have done and continue to do. I will be baking and selling 1000 different bakes between now and the end of September. Bakes will range from cupcakes to tiffins and everything inbetween! Bakes will vary week to week all with a suggested donation of 50p each with pickup from the High Street in Cambourne.
Help buy Addenbrooke's a RobotIt costs approximately £1,000 per patient to provide robot-assisted surgery. Thats why I'm taking part in Addenbrooke's 1000 challenge. Your gift will help empower the amazing clinicians to provide lifesaving and life changing surgery across six areas of Addenbrooke's Hospital, enabling over 1,500 patients (each year) to receive their care, and be back home again with less pain and discomfort as quickly as possible.
