I have been taking part in the Bike 'n Hike for many years - the photo is last year, 2010.  Archie and I both do the ride, enjoy a lovely day and raise money to maintain some of our most historic buildings.  We ride for St. Leonard's, Old Warden, who receive half of the sponsorship money from BHHCT.  The rest is used for grants to churches throughout Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. 

Well, we completed our 2011 Bike 'n Hike, visiting the 20 churches and cycling well over 30 miles (we found a short cut at one point!).  We avoided the rain until late afternoon but the wind was not good.  A hot bath soothed the aching limbs but we were pretty wiped out the next day!
