Story
Thank you for visiting my page. I've chosen to run the 2022 London Marathon on 2nd October 2022 for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
Since 2014, my amazing friend Gaz Emmerson had battled Ewing's Sarcoma, his diagnosis became terminal at the end of 2020.
Gaz did all he could to help raise awareness and funds for Sarcoma UK. In June 2021, Gaz, his beautiful wife Zoe and some of my wonderful friends cycled 1,000 miles across the country raising a whopping £120k, all of this whilst Gaz was on chemotherapy.
We unfortunately lost the inspirational Gaz, on the 5th of August 2022.
I wanted to take on a challenge and do my bit to raise as much money and awareness as possible, so the London Marathon seemed like the perfect challenge.
These funds were unable to help to save Gaz, but hopefully this will fund amazing research to help as many people as possible to not face the same diagnosis.
There will be lots of sweat and tears and a shed load of training, but I am ready for the challenge.
Thank you for all of your support and wonderful donation, see you at the finish line!
