Great South Run 2010 · 24 October 2010 ·

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the next stage in my long term goal to run a half marathon. I completed a 5k fourteen months ago, a 10k four months ago, and am now doing a 10 miler. Neither the running or the training has been easy so far, but the encouragement I've received, and the money raised for good causes has all made it very worthwhile.

I know it isn't easy to respond to all the requests for sponsorship that you recieve these days, but if you can spare a little for the Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust I would really appreciate it. This is a charity with which I have a close connection, and who I have supported for a long while. I know that the work they do taking children recovering from cancer sailing makes a real difference in the life of these young people.
