Story

Hello!

Thanks for visiting my Blood Cancer UK Fundraising Page

In February, I'll (somehow) be running 50 miles (and yes, there was a choice of kilometres and miles, and for some reason unfathomable to me, I have chosen to attempt miles) - that's roughly 81k (almost two full marathons!) - to raise money for both Blood Cancer UK and the Mid & South Essex Hospitals Charity. These are both causes close to my heart.

This February will mark 4 years since I was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. The entire team at Broomfield Hospital were (and continue to be) absolutely incredible, from tests and diagnosis, treatment and through to getting the all-clear in Sept 2017 - and then beyond into remission.

Blood Cancer UK is a charity dedicated to beating blood cancer. They fund research and support all those affected. Since 1960, they've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives.

I want to really challenge myself, raise some money and give something back to both the hospital that did everything for me and a great charity that supports everyone with blood cancer. I'm not actually that sure how I'm going to do this (ongoing fatigue is not the one) but if I can beat cancer I can do anything... right?

By donating via this fundraising page, you are supporting Blood Cancer UK. Thank you so much for any donation you can make, I really appreciate it.
