At the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation, our mission is to bring comfort, care, and hope to young people living with cancer and their families. Inspired by Tom’s vision and courage, we are dedicated to addressing not only the medical challenges of cancer but also the emotional, practical, and social struggles that come with it. We believe every young person deserves dignity, support, and the chance to thrive, no matter their diagnosis. That is why we provide essential resources, such as Tom’s Comfort and Care Kits, to ease long days in hospital, alongside emotional and practical support that helps families feel less alone in their journey. We strive to create an environment where young people are seen, heard, and understood, ensuring that their unique needs are met with compassion and respect. Our mission extends beyond the hospital walls. We are committed to funding vital research into teenage cancers, raising awareness, and campaigning for change so that young patients receive the specialist care they deserve. By working closely with hospitals, schools, and communities, we aim to bridge the gaps in support and ensure that no young person has to face cancer without help. Driven by Tom’s legacy, we stand with determination, kindness, and hope, empowering young people with cancer to face the future with strength, comfort, and courage.

Story

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page. This month, I'm joining with other members of the UK Treaty Team and committing to run 155km (5k every day) and contribute towards our 1000km goal to raise money for the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation (https://www.tombowdidgefoundation.org/).

The Foundation provides emotional, financial and physical support for teenagers and young adults suffering from cancer, and their families. They also carry out research into the causes and affects of cancer on young people.

Being a teenager can be tough at the best of times and I can't imagine what it must be like to also have to deal with a cancer diagnosis. I fully support the work that the Tom Bowdidge Foundation does to help young people and their families, and I want to do my part to ensure their vital work can continue.

Please donate what you can to help push me towards my goal.
