Story

My name is Madeleine Blake, my dad is currently fighting lung cancer. The past year he has been through so much. In 2013 or so he was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma, he was responding really well to treatment and we thought he was doing well. He then had a scan last October that showed he had a large tumor on his lung, we were devastated. Immediately surgery was our first option, he had two thirds of his lung removed at Christmas. Since then he has undergone a course of heavy chemo therapy and radiation. I've made the decision to shave my head not only for my dad but for everyone who knows someone suffering with this awful disease. As a family member I felt I had to do something, I am hoping to raise as much as I can for the Irish cancer society. I will be doing the head shave in The Round O in  navan Co meath on the 12th of August. I will also have charity buckets, sponsorship cards and a raffle with spot prizes on the night. I can't tell you enough how much I would appreciate donations no matter how big or small. Help us help those who are suffering.
