Story

This summer I will be doing the St Luke's Midnight Walk 2017 in memory of my mum and grandad. This year is particularly special as it'll be my 10th walk and I'll also be doing it in Germany!

Since autumn I have been working as a PhD researcher in Germany, but thanks to the enthusiasm and support of the hospice events team this will not stop me from taking part! This year I may not be able to join in the zumba warm-up, buy flashing bunny ears or cover myself in glow in the dark body paint, but I'll still be one of the hundreds of women walking to raise money for the hospice.

St Luke’s care for adults suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses. They provided comfort and care for my family during a very difficult time and I will never be able to thank them enough for their support. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff and volunteers were so caring and welcoming that for a few months the hospice became our home. Even in those hard times we still found unexpected moments of joy and laughter and I cannot thank them enough for these precious memories.

So please dig deep and donate and help them to continue their amazing work!
