Royal Parks Half Marathon 2014 · 12 October 2014 ·

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

I don't exactly love running, but I do love a challenge and that's why I've signed up to raise as much money for Bowel Cancer UK as possible. I lost my darling Dad to cancer ten years ago (wow, that is still hard to write) so please give generously and also tell the people you love that you love them, and often.

Think of me trying to find interesting new routes to run around Hackney that don't involve falling in the canal when an over-enthusiastic cyclist sneaks up behind me; speeding up past a flirty tramp in Stoke Newington cemetery or squishing rats that jump out at me from behind the dustbins!

Then think about reaching into your pocket and donating a pretty penny for a good cause.

Go on, you know you want to.

Thanks, Maddy x
