Pakistan Cancer Appeal 2022

Maddie’s Pakistan Cancer Appeal 2022 · 27 August 2022
In the fight against cancer, every penny counts.
This year, millions of people from all around the world are coming together to lay the foundations of what will be Pakistan’s biggest cancer hospital to date. Join us. Lay one brick or ten and help us build Shaukat Khanum Karachi. Give Sadaqah Jariyah towards anything from equipment to a room or an entire ward. Every brick and piece of equipment donated will help IKCA save lives for years to come inshAllah.
The Zakat you give will allow Imran Khan Cancer Appeal to provide free treatment to 75% of their patients. The charity have been trusted with your Zakat for over 27 years. With it, they have helped save many lives and provide healing for Pakistan’s poorest.
Your Sadaqah matters too! At Shaukat Khanum Hospital, your sadaqah is also used for providing nutritional food for our poorest patients, many of whom are malnourished even before they begin cancer treatment.
Shaukat Khanum Hospital was established in Lahore in 1994 by Imran Khan. It was a first for Pakistan: a comprehensive care facility dedicated to the diagnosis and the highest standards of treatment for cancer. Since then, and with your trust and support, they have grown to expand their reach.
To meet demand and support patients in harder to reach areas, IKCA founded a second Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Peshawar and established Diagnostic Centres, Laboratory Collection Centres, and Outreach Screening Clinics nationwide. Today, IKCA are coming together with millions of IKCA supporters to make history again with a third Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city and the 12th largest globally.
My aim is to raise £5,000 God-willing which will be used towards helping save lives. Your Zakat or sadaqah will be delivered to Pakistans poorest in their most dire need.To help fundraise this money, I will also be taking part in a very challenging trek across Pakistan Gilgit. A region of breathtaking nature, Gilgit-Baltistan is home to Fairy Meadows, Nanga Parbat and Mount Rakaposhi. All these locations will be on our route as we make our way to our final destination at Hunza Valley after our descent from Diran base camp.
I will be trekking for a total of 10 days and spend the last 2 days personally visiting the Shaukat Khanam hospital in Lahore. This will give me a chance to share how all donations are contributed towards cancer treatments.
This is fantastic opportunity to donate any Zakat or Sadaqah towards such a great cause! Help me to help them and together let’s make this a huge success.
