Story
Hello everybody,
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
This May, it will be ten years since we lost our beautiful friend Olivia Chase aged 15 to long QT syndrome, which is one of the conditions screened for by the charity CRY. To celebrate her memory on this significant year we wanted to do something significant, and something that she would most definitely smile at! Often finding any excuse to ‘miss’ the school run, she would definitely find it amusing that we have signed up to walk 100km non-stop from London to Brighton.
The walk is taking place on the 24 - 25th May 2014, her anniversary, and we want to raise as much money as possible for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), a charity devoted to reducing the number of sudden deaths in people aged 14 - 35. It's a really important charity that means a great deal to us.
Every week in the UK at least 12 young people (aged 35 or under) die from undiagnosed heart conditions through Sudden Death Syndrome. Your donation will go a long way to help support bereaved families and to develop further screening programmes through the charity CRY.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you to everyone who can donate, your support means a lot us - every penny counts :)
