Birds on bikes will be doing an annual sponsored run meandering from Edinburgh to Cardiff over three days, from the 5th to 7th Sept 2008 raising money, this year, for Clic Sargent. This is a wonderful charity that supports children with cancer. We’re hoping to smash last year’s target of just under £18,000.
I first heard about Birds on Bikes last year but chickened out.
So, this is the first time I’ve attempted anything on this scale, but it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t do it in fancy dress. So leaving the London area on the 4th September LOOK OUT EDINBURGH – HERE I COME!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC Sargent will receive your money direct and, if you are a UK taxpayer, the taxman has to dig in his pocket for an extra 28% at no cost to you. Makes a change eh!
So how about it, I’ll do all the hard work: – make a silly costume – Ride my bike over 1000 miles, lots of it through beautiful countryside – meet lots of like minded ladies – Skive a week off work. All you have to do, as Bob Geldof would say is “GIVE US YER MONEY” (that’s the cleaned up version)
Oh and don’t forget you get a mention too!
