Story
SLOW - Surviving the Loss of Your World - is a London based charity run by bereaved parents and siblings providing support for bereaved families. Bereaved members say their support groups are a lifeline, giving them the chance to connect and share their experiences with other bereaved families. Here's what one bereaved parent said about the support she has received from SLOW:"SLOW literally kept me alive. In the early days I just wanted to kill myself, I was just in a dark place. I didn't see a future. I can absolutely say, without a doubt, that without SLOW I wouldn't be here."Donating to SLOW enables the charity to continue supporting bereaved parents who have suffered the devastating loss of a child.
I am running for SLOW in support of my wonderful friend Clara, and in honour of her beautiful daughter Maude who tragically died of Sepsis in 2011. I sadly never got the chance to meet Maude, but Clara is the most extraordinary woman and I know that without SLOW she wouldn't be who she is today. The fact that I am doing this is a testament to how great I think she is, as running is my ultimate worst worst worst. So please be generous with your donating!!! Thanks xx
