Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. I've added a summary of what we've done so far followed by why we are fund raising..

October 2011 I finished the challenge that started with the great group of 3 peakers. The Kilamanjaro climb was incredible and in many ways surreal. The experience of spending 5 days at altitude in close proximity to a group of other determined individuals was rewarding (more so than the cold wet environment I was in) the experience of the summit evening (8 hours of climbing) is something that will stay with me forever as will the very brief joy of summiting alongside my friend Pete. I cant describe the experience in a short space so wont try but In a few words I would say Surreal, Incredible, Pain and never again! (unless one of my kids wants me to go with them)

Over 24 hours between 17:08 on the 25th & 26th of June, 8 guys took on a challenge to complete the Three peaks over a single weekend. Without exception they did fantastically well and everyone completed the Mountain time with time to spare... seven completed each mountain time, with time to spare (thats saying something about the speed at which everyone did the mountains!)
The Guys were determined-(Everyone ran down Ben Nevis!), Dogged-(A 4am walk through a cloud while pushing tired legs to climb up&down S.Pike / wet and painfull are an understatement!) And a little bit mad-(speed walking in 27degree heat up a mountain and then jogging down it takes it out of you!
Ed Milner, Ben Delaloye, Kerry Aylmer, Tom Gulliver, Nick Howe, James Clifford, James Cross, David Ferris, demonstrated an outright level of determination that not even 3 mountains, +18 Miles, 2-3 hours of interrupted sleep and a slow mini van (with a dodgy exhaust) all compressed into 24 hours could temper.
If you need a job doing, you wouldn't go far wrong asking any one of these guys !!

October three Peak trip: - Without exception the effort, determination and dedication of the "peakers" to accomplish what they set out to do was incredible. Its fair to say we didn't all know each other that well before the trip but during it, the support towards others in addition to what was a tough mental and physical challenge filled me with a deep sense of pride. While the cause is a good one, it was also a great opportunity to spend time with six wonderful individuals. For all those reading this because you know one or more of the team, I hope you count yourself lucky.
