Story
A big hello from the Machins Jurassic Coastbusters and an even bigger thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Jurassic Coast Challenge is a long, sustained event over 12 hours and covering 30km of the South West Coastal Path. This 30km section of Jurassic Coast is graded ‘tough’ with testing topography – and while the distance and terrain combined make this a demanding challenge, the nature of the undulating coastline means we’ll also be ascending over 1,700m … that’s more ascent than Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain! So, onwards and upwards to the start of our trek in picturesque Swanage where we’ll head west - along rugged cliff tops, secluded bays and the Kimmeridge Ledges – towards the finish line at the unique natural harbour of Lulworth Cove.
We’re trekking in aid of Level Trust and all of your donations will go towards supporting this Luton based charity to help 11,000 local children that live below the poverty line. Living in poverty can mean a child might not have the uniform they need for school, good food to eat at home or warm clothing when it’s cold. They are unlikely to be able to do fun things in the school holidays and they are more likely to suffer with mental health problems and low self-esteem.
Wherever you live, wherever you are from, poverty is destructive and no child should have to experience it.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
THANK YOU for your donation.
