Mace South West 3 Peaks Challenge · 12 July 2019

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In support of the Mace foundation a small team from the Exeter office have huddled together and dared to go where few have stepped before, particularly at 4am in the morning!  We've vowed to trek the 3 peaks in under 24 hours, plasters, blister cream and mars bars at the ready!

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition that effects the brain which becomes more problematic over time.

The typical symptoms include:-

TREMORS: Involuntary shaking movement in a part of your body.

SLOWNESS: Movements are slower or less co-ordinated.

RIGIDITY: Stiff or inflexible muscles.

But you may also experience other symptoms including problems with sleep and memory and mental health issues.

Help us support those quietly suffering.....do you know anyone who needs help?
