We are the Open age team of Macclesfield Town Ladies. We reformed 3 years ago and play in the Championship Division 1 of the Cheshire Women’s and Youth League.

Like most football clubs around the world, our season was cut short in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

We wanted to put our preseason training to good use and were inspired by East Cheshire Hospice to organise a fundraiser for them after hearing how affected they have been due to Covid 19.

We are taking on the virtual challenge of walking, running or cycling the 1407KM from Lands End to John O’Groats as a team which is to be completed within the month of May.

Each activity by our players will be recorded by a fitness monitor and tallied up to achive our target distance.
