Story
Lyssa is a very special little girl. Not only was she diagnosed before birth with a rare, complex heart condition, but she has also bravely battled selective mutism and the anxiety that comes alongside that.
Her hair has always been precious and a matter of pride for her. She dreams of being Rapunzel. She has also always insisted that having her hair cut (We insist on a yearly trim to ensure good hair strength and tidiness) hurts, and has been known to cry, which is understandably really upsetting.
This year, something changed. Halfway through the summer, she asked if she could have it cut off. She wanted to donate it to Little Princess Trust. We talked it over several times and she was still sure.
Then, additional news hit. Our beloved Little Miracles had been broken into and vandalised. The sensory room was particularly badly hit. Lyssa loves the sensory room as much as we love Little Miracles as a family. Their trips and activities are amazing and we know that their staff are just a phone call or a message away for us. They have always been there. We love them dearly. But that support is at risk of dropping off if their valuable funds keep going into repairing reckless damage like this.
With this in mind, Lyssa made a bold choice. She wanted to donate her hair to Little Princess Trust, but she also wants to raise money to help Little Miracles move forward and rebuild from their hard times this summer.
It would mean the world to us if you could support them with us.
