Like so many women I discovered a lump while doing a self-breast exam, which I only did on a whim every now and again. You find a lump and you think this is nothing. But then that nothing, turned into something, that turned my life upside down. My life was forever changed by my breast cancer diagnosis in 2013, however, I’m one of the lucky ones who is a Breast Cancer Survivor. My Breast Cancer battle was daunting, yet I had the support of my husband, family, friends, workplace and my faith. I knew that I was one of the lucky ones blessed with support unlike so many struggling with Breast Cancer.

I found Living Beyond Breast Cancer when I attended one of their conferences and was touched by their personalized support for women in need. I knew that I wanted to be part of this organization to support women who have no support and in many cases little hope. They understand that everyone’s Breast Cancer journey is different and they strive to support the person whether it be rent, childcare, groceries, prescriptions, or support for their soul when it is most needed. Our average support grant is $750 and this can make all the difference for those in need.

I’ve recently joined the Board of Directors for Living Beyond Breast Cancer and I’m hopeful that you will choose to support this organization that does so much good.  Most everyone has been touched by Breast Cancer whether it be a mother, wife, sister, daughter, grandmother, friend or colleague. Living Beyond Breast Cancer is a small non-profit organization with an annual operating budget of only $5 Million dollars and so your contribution will make a difference.
