Hi, thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I'm running the Royal Park's Half Marathon 2023 in October on behalf of Sense. It's been a long time since I have run a half marathon, and I wanted to train and take part on behalf of a fantastic charity.
What is Sense?
Sense is a national Charity that supports people who are deafblind and those with complex disabilities, to be understood, connected and valued. They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected. Together we can unlock barriers to communication, so no one is isolated, left out or unable to fulfil their potential.
Here are some examples of how your donation will help Sense with the critical work they do... £30 could pay for an equipment kit to support someone with complex disabilities to be active. £40 could pay for a 1:1 session, live or online, for an artist to work exclusively with an arts maker with complex disabilities. £70 could pay for a child to attend a Sense pre-school group with their parents. |
