Story
In a moment of madness I’ve signed up to take on this hilly 26.2 mile walking challenge on Sunday 27th June (yes that’s right - a marathon distance!) for The Hospice of St Francis. I'm hoping that it’s not too sunny, not too rainy and more importantly that my feet and legs are up to the challenge! I’ve persuaded a number of friends to join in the challenge so the pressure is on!
As lockdown lifts, the Wellbeing Team at The Hospice of St Francis will be able to welcome back patients in person. I know from friends and their families, that the support the Hospice can provide at an exceptionally difficult time is incredibly valuable.
Right now most of the Hospice’s patients have been shielding for a considerable amount of time and they cannot wait to welcome them back and offer them the sessions and support they deserve.
Unsurprisingly, fundraising has been a real challenge throughout the pandemic. As all the services provided by the Hospice are free, financial support and donations are much needed.
