Whitewater Rafting: A fun activity where you put on a life jacket jump in a rubber raft with little PVC paddles and float down the river....no big deal...until you get flipped over, or are simply scared out of your mind and go into fight-or-flight mode with those class 4 rapids coming around the bend. As you may have guessed I’ve agreed to take part in the Chest Heart & Stroke Scotlands “Ultimate White Water Rafting” on Sunday March 28th. Its going to be awesome fun and I’m sure scary as hell! We will have to safely negotiate the white water rapids in an attempt to win the 6 mile rafting race. Whilst experiencing some of the fastest white water in , between Aberfeldy and Grandtully we will be having the most intense 2hrs of insane fun and action. The CHSS Ultimate White Water Rafting Trophy is awarded to the winning team and medals for the 2nd and 3rd placed teams. The charity this is all in aid of is Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland which was formed a century ago to help in the fight against tuberculosis. That fight was won, but today the battle goes on against ailments which continue to blight the well being of the nation. Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland is researching into all aspects of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and the social impact of chest, heart and stroke illness. In addition they provide care and support to those affected by these conditions as well as their families and other carersSo c’mon get involved! Sponsor me please!By the way what is a class 4 rapid…? http://www.chss.org.uk/fundraising/abseils_and_adrenaline/white_water_rafting/index.php
