Story
In June last year my brother in law Nigel, a former professional footballer and, for twenty years, a maths teacher, completed the London to Brighton bike ride. He was taken ill on the way home, diagnosed with an aggressive liver cancer and died in February, aged 54 years. This year, in his memory, a group of his family members, including me, are doing it again, to raise money for Marie Curie, who run the hospice where he spent the last week of his life. We want as many others as possible to have access to the same amazing support and care that helped to get us through.
In case you have any concerns about me doing something like this at my age and with my level of fitness, don't be alarmed! I am told the ride will be a doddle, as it is apparently almost all downhill and Brighton is closer to London than you might think...........
If you are able to support us we would be very grateful; thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page whether you are able to or not.
