Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
My Darling Dad died in 2019 after a short but determined fight with cancer. Salisbury Hospital had looked after him for many years before his cancer diagnosis and I will always be grateful for the care and support he received there.
I also want to say 'thank you' to them for caring for my Mum in the Cardiac Suite, my Niece Alice who was born prematurely in 2001 and spent the first few years of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - NICU and my husband Gary who has care provided by the Rheumatology Team.
So in April 2024, I will be trekking through the tropical rainforest and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains in Colombia to the Lost City of Teyuna in support of Salisbury District Hospital's Stars Appeal.
The Stars Appeal makes such a difference to patients and their families at the hospital by funding additional equipment to that provided by the NHS. They fund cancer patients with specialist equipment, aromatherapy, headwear for patients losing their hair, provide free accommodation and home comforts for up to 250 families whose babies are being treated in the Neonatal Unit, toiletry packs to patients arriving at the hospital in an emergency, the free wifi that keeps families connected and so much more!
Please help me to help them continue the brilliant work they do!
If I reach my target I will have raised over £20000 for Stars Appeal through my trekking!
THANK YOU
