Story
I've decided to have a go at the Jingle Jog in aid of Blythe House Hospice as they have been so supportive over the past 18 months.
In May 2017 I was diagnosed with cancer in my tongue and also in my neck. I underwent 2 partial tongue operations and a neck dissection to remove the cancers in June and July.
In March of this year I was unbelievably diagnosed with a recurring cancer in my neck and in April I started 6 weeks of daily and very difficult Radiotherapy and also 2 rounds of Chemotherapy.
To say this journey has been life changing is an understatement. Blythe House have helped in many ways, including counselling, Physiotherapy and several kinds of alternative therapies including Reiki, Hypnotherapy and I'm hoping acupuncture soon.
If you could sponsor me any amount I would be most grateful. I have to say I will probably be walking the 5km as my fitness is not brilliant after Radiiotherapy and chemotherapy but I will be finishing the course and that's a promise!
Every penny counts and Thank you for supporting me.
Blythe House Hospice provides care and support for those in the High Peak community affected by cancer, life-threatening illness or bereavement. The care and support Blythe House provides remains completely free of charge. By taking part in the Jingle Bell Jog, I am supporting Blythe House Hospice to continue to provide this much needed care. By sponsoring me you could contribute to the following:£50 would pay for three hours Hospice at Home care for someone in their last weeks of life.£100 would pay for half a days physiotherapy for a patient struggling with mobility as a result of their illness.£150 would pay for 5 counselling sessions for a bereaved child at one of the hardest times of their life.£450 would pay for three nights of care for a patient at the end of their life who wants to remain in their own home.
