We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 27th of April 2002, our mother Lynne Elizabeth Mckie (McCallum) died of pancreatic cancer. she left my sisters Lyndsey(then 18), Kirsty(14), Vhairi(12), my brother Josh(4) and myself(17) without their mother.

With the tenth anniversary of her death approaching, we have decided to raise the profile of both her death and the need for the fight against cancer to continue. With this in mind we have decided to cycle from John o'Groats to Lands End, departing on the 20th april, arriving at Lands End on the tenth anniversary of her death, the 27th April.

This will take the form of a relay, where my siblings and i will be joined by mum's partner Danny, Lyndsey's husband David, Kirsty's boyfriend Brian, and friends Vikki and Tracey. Even though there are a few of us, I still expect it to be very tough in parts!!

Cancer is something that is very close to our family, just like it is to almost every person who reads this, so if you can give a little to help with the research, I know that it will be gratefully received and used to help. Thanks again for taking the time to read our story. love, Lyndsey, Kirsty, Vhairi, Vikki, Tracey, Josh, Brian, David, Danny and Ross. xx
