Story
Hi everyone.
This summer I will be taking part in the Thames Swim Marathon in order to raise money for a fabulous charity called ‘Karis Kids’. This wonderful charity is close to my heart, as it supports orphaned and vulnerable children living in poverty in the slums of Kampala in Uganda.
Half of Uganda's children are impoverished and live without provision for basic resources such as clean water, health care and education. The money raised will help provide orphaned children and the link families caring for them with food and clean water. It will also pay for their education, medical needs and pastoral needs.
We have personally been supporting our Ugandan family for 10 years and have received regular personal letters of gratitude for the financial support and the impact it is having on them. It is such a privilege to know the financial support makes a huge difference to these children’s lives.
Thank you so much for taking the time to support me in this venture! Your support means a lot to me and I will need to it go the distance (13 km)and to navigate the rubbish in the river Thames!
