So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.  Kelly was a beautiful, amazing and brave soul and she wanted to live her life to the full despite suffering from terminal lung disease (caused by Sarcoidosis).  She spent some respite time in St Johns during the last year of her life, and during the most difficult time of her life.  The wonderful people at St Johns gave her hope and made her feel safe and secure and we believe  helped to give her the comfort, strength and courage to  live a little longer despite overwhelming odds.  The hospice provides the most amazing help and support to those experiencing life limiting illness and also supports their families and  they would like to do so much more (including outreach support to people in their own homes).   Kelly really wanted to support the hospice and if she had lived, would have loved to have participated in the Starlight hike amongst other things - she actually did participate in a woodland walk for the hospice some years ago in 2009 despite already suffering the effects of significant lung damage and severe breathing difficulties even then (and she did this without oxygen support).  St Johns is largely dependant on charitable contributions - we want to try and raise what we can to support all the staff and facilities at St Johns for Kelly.   Last year we raised an amazing £730 including £600+ on these pages.  Our target is to raise that figure to £1,000 or more in total with this year's donations.  We thank you for your support in this and Kelly thanks you in light, peace and love.
