Story

Several of you will know that I have been a volunteer with the Brigitte Trust for several years, and that I ran the London 10K, 2 years ago to raise funds.

This is a very special local charity supporting people and their families at a critical time of their lives. I want to again raise funds to help train more new volunteers.

The Trust offers emotional support and practical help at home to families facing Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease and other life-threatening illness  Making weekly visits, volunteers offer carers the opportunity to take a break, can drive a family member to hospital for treatment, out for shopping or perhaps for a chance to escape from the four walls to the garden centre for tea.  Most importantly, all our volunteers are trained to listen and to be alongside - offering quiet time together is often one of the most important things we can do.

So please help the Brigitte Trust by donating today.  Whatever you can give, will be hugely appreciated as every little helps.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
