Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My 10 year old daughter, Sarah, along with her cousin Erin and friend Ruby (and Jason as the super-fit parent!) have chosen to take part in this 5k run to have fun but also because we want to help raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland.
My Mum has Alzheimer’s so it’s a charity that’s very close to our hearts. Please help us raise some money for people affected by dementia to help get the support they need and to fund research that helps find a cure for this terrible disease.
Alzheimer’s disease is an illness of the brain which causes dementia. Over half the people in Scotland who have dementia have Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease gradually destroys brain cells and their connections. This affects how the person copes with everyday tasks.
