Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have paid for my skydive, so that anything you donate will go to the MNDA.

I've worked with people with MND ever since I qualified as a speech and language therapist in the NHS, and now work for a multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and speech and language therapists and specialists in alternative and augmentative communication and environmental controls. Our team works to enable people to continue to live their lives as independently as possible, to the highest quality, despite the diagnosis of a progressive neurological condition. Of all the clients I have worked with in the years since qualifying those with MND and their families are the most memorable.

The MNDA provide crucial services to compliment the work done by therapists in teams like ours e.g. funding/loaning specialist equipment  at short notice; providing financial support for clients to be able to take holidays; training 'support volunteers' - all of which enhance people's lives and make the devastating impact of motor neurone disease a little easier to cope with.

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. We are asking MNDA to send funds raised to our local S Yorks branch)
