Since Claire was diagnosed in 2012, life has been a roller coaster. It took about 6 months to find an insulin she didn't react to, her injections were sore and left big red lumps; she has to test her blood sugars by stabbing her finger at least 5 times a day and during the night; she has to think about everything she eats; her sugar levels can be all over the place for any reason, even a cold can send them sky high. Highs and lows make her feel rubbish. BUT she has no choice and although some days it can be a struggle, she gets on with it. Here's hoping research comes up with something soon!
