It is official.....mid life crisis and I am setting myself the challenge of climbing Mount Etna along with my colleagues...total insanity no question, but will be wrapped once this has been achieved and what a memory to share...and I will be sharing mate!!!  Climb Every Mountain will be my theme tune!!! So wish me luck and donate to make this become a reality.It will make such a difference to carers young and old and I feel truly priviledged to be part of this.

In 2010, a team of PKAVS staff and volunteers, together with supporters from the wider community, will be undertaking the ultimate fundraising challenge, and climbing Europe's most active and awesome volcano, Mount Etna in Sicily. Leaving on 15 September, we will trek over 35km to the summit of the 3,350m high volcano, returning (we hope!!) after 5 days.

This is a major and extremely exciting challenge for the team, and our aim is to raise over £20,000 for PKAVS. With your support, we know we can achieve this!!

All funds raised will support PKAVS - an amazing charity that changes lives within Peth & Kinross every single day. We make a difference to the lives of Carers, including Young Carers as young as 5 years old. We respond to changing needs within our community, supporting adults with mental ill health or disabilities. We make our communities stronger by promoting volunteering and citizenship and supporting our local community groups. Every penny raised stays local, helping disadvantaged individuals living in Perth & Kinross. This is a charity like no other, and needs YOUR support today ...

- Your donation of £10 will buy a PKAVS friendship parcel for an isolated elderly person, letting them know someone is thinking of them at Christmas time.

- Your donation of £20 will provide a young carer aged just 7 years with a 1-to-1 support session and an invaluable break from their caring role.

- Your donation of £50 would run a PKAVS electric scooter for a whole year, offering over 250 people their independence. That's 250 lives changed with just the click of a button!
