Story
This year, I am supporting The Professional Center For Child Development (the "PCCD"), an organization near and dear to my heart, by participating in their Trot for Special Tots 5K race/1M walk, and raising much needed fundraising dollars.
We were first introduced to the PCCD when our first born son Andy was just 6 weeks old when he started early intervention services. Through that program Andy received PT, OT, speech therapy, music therapy and developmental therapy. Those services and the connections we made with Andy's therapists were truly a lifeline for my family when we were completely overwhelmed processing Andy’s unexpected diagnosis and the challenges that we consistently faced in connection therewith.
When Andy ultimately graduated the program upon his 3rd birthday, he began preschool at their incredible school, which accommodates kids like Andy that are too medically fragile to attend typical schools, and Andy just loved it there. The school is now coincidentally called The Anderson School!
The PCCD is a nonprofit making a significant impact in our community and in the lives of thousand of local families each year. Their specialized programming and incredible team of educators, therapists and clinicians partner with families to help each child thrive, meet their goals and reach their full potential. Donations of all amounts make a difference and all monies raised directly benefit the children PCCD serves. Your gift today can make an impact today that will resonate far into the future for thousands of children. Please join me to support the vital work of PCCD. Thank you.
