I have taken on the challenge of running the Manchester marathon in memory of Chris Shaw, my friend Louise Owens mum Jean and a few other close friends who have been recently touched by cancer.

The furthest I have ever run is 12 miles and that was nearly 4 years ago.  I am a full time mother of my little girl Amelia and I work full time, so for me this is both a physical and mental challenge which I am looking forward to embracing.

I have put a £1000 as a fund raising total however I would like to raise as much as possible for the Christie charity so your support will be appreciated.
