Well so many fantastic people and companies are raising funds for our charity Hounds For Heroes that I have decided it's time I did my bit!!

For years I have battled with my weight, which we now know is compounded by a number of multiple issues such as thyroid (now controlled), fibromyalgia (a chronic illness similar to M.E), and now a spinal problem.  But hey life was never meant to be easy.    The time has come to take on a challenge, and I have decided that it's time to shed 5 stone (yep you read it right).

I'm currently 17stone, rather too much for my liking and certainly more than my doctor wants for me so here goes.  I have joined Slimming World and aim to loose this weight in the next 6 months.   With your help and support of course.

Well the first week has seen a loss of 2lb, I'm on my way!!!

 

Hounds For Heroes is a great charity, well I would say that as a trustee!!   It's aims are to provide specially trained assitance dogs for injured and disabled men and women of the UK Armed Forces and Emergency Services Personnel.    We are in the midst of our "Puppies on Parade" appeal to raise our first £100,000 so that we can train, place and support our first five cadet dogs.   

 

My little sacrifice of weight loss is nothing compared to that given by our heroes, and that is my motivation.   If they can do so much then I can do my little bit.    I will keep you updated on fortnightly basis as to my progress so that you can see I am sticking to it, and if I'm brave enough (I have to be!!) I shall post progress photos for you to see.
