In April 2020** I will be jumping out of a plane attached to a complete stranger and freefalling from 13,000ft for Myeloma UK. As many of you know my lovely husband Eric was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a blood cancer) 7 years ago and after a successful Stem Cell Transplant he continues to have treatment every 4 weeks. Despite everything he goes through Eric never stops smiling so any donation you can give would be really appreciated in the hope that one day they will find a cure. Thank you from us both. xx
**** Update..............Well today 9th April 2020 we should have been on our way down South to spend the night near Hinton Airfield to be up early on Good Friday to do the skydive but as you will all not be surprised to hear due to the Covid 19 virus it has now been cancelled until further notice. I WILL DO THIS TANDEM SKYDIVE AS SOON AS I CAN - HOPEFULLY ON A NICE SUNNY, WINDLESS DAY AS SOON AS THE AIRFIELD IS ABLE TO RE-OPEN SAFELY. Thank you all for your continued support which we both appreciate.
** We originally went down to Hinton Airfield to do this jump on Sat 31st August but sadly due to very strong winds it was postponed until 12th October 2019 & once again it was cancelled due to bad weather i.e., rain and low cloud. Fingers are now firmly crossed for April and it must surely be 3rd time lucky.
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. Our ultimate goal is to find a cure. We are dedicated to myeloma patients making sure they get access to the right treatment at the right time. We continually strive to improve standards of treatment and care through research, education and raising awareness of myeloma. We receive no Government funding and rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising. In short, we couldn't do what we do without your support.
