Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2007 my Mum was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Since that day we began losing her bit by until one day she would no longer know who her family were or remember how to do the day to day things we take for granted. My world changed forever on 15 February this year when we lost her forever.

Working in the Fire Service we deal with people on a daily basis who are referring someone they know who has this horrendous disease and it seems to becoming more and more common.

Not only am I taking part in the walk to raise money, I'm also hoping to raise awareness and one day live in a world without dementia.
