Hello all! 😊

So Alex and I decided it’d be a good idea to sign up to Dementia UK’s new fundraising campaign ‘Raise your Game’ and complete our very own 24 hour gaming livestream. Keep reading to hear about why we’re doing it/what games we will be playing and the challenges we’ll be completing along the way. 

Date: 🗓 Saturday 24th October - Sunday 25th October

Time: ⏰  9pm (24th) - 9pm (25th)

Where: the stream can be viewed on Facebook (we will share the link when it begins) and will also be live on this page.

Goals + Challenges: ⚽️

• £25 - If you make a donation of £25 or more than you can add any rule (Within reason) to our stream that we must follow for the next 10 minutes. Eg- talk in Scottish accent 
• £50 - every £50 raised we will play the game with our eyes closed for 2 minutes
• £150 - speed run Hamilton the musical whilst playing
• £250 - Alex eats a hot pepper
• £350 - Lydia eats a hot pepper
• £500 - Wax Alex’s legs 
• £600 - improvised rap  
• £750 - Wax Alex’s other leg 
• £850 - Improvised lyrical dance
  
• £950 - Musical performance 
• £1000 - we’ll both dye our hair a fun colour
• £1250 - wax another of Alex's legs/Lydia will eat another 

Why: We are taking part to raise vital funds to help dementia specialist Admiral Nurses support more families facing dementia. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through their Admiral Nurse service and also happens to be my (Lydia) place of work. As someone who works for this charity and has seen first hand the amazing things our Admiral Nurses do I can tell you with confidence that your support will mean so much to families across the UK living with dementia. Rules: 📖 

• A game must be being played at all times over the 24 hours 
• breaks are only allowed to stretch our legs, go to the loo or grab food. Breaks shouldn’t last much more than 5 minutes away 
• An extended break is allowed to chill a little during that extra hour in the morning because we didn’t realise the clocks go back during our stream and don’t want it to seem like we finished an hour early 🙄
• Short phone breaks are allowed to share information about our fundraising on social media
