Story
Myself and Hannah's other friends/family are settings ourselves some challenges in order to raise money for PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide. Hannah lost her fight against mental illness and took her own life on 18th of April 2023, at just 29 years of age.
All her family and friends are devastated and our lives will never be the same again. I believe Hannah is now out of pain and at peace. However, EVERY suicide is preventable and Hannah fought so much to get the right help, unfortunately she lost her battle.
The first challenge I am setting myself is to do a Sky Dive, which is rebooked for the 3rd time on 28th June in Whitchurch! Anyone is welcome to come support or watch 😊. I have a fear of heights, so this will be very difficult for me, but I feel Han will be giving me the strength to do this ( also she would be having a good giggle). I am paying for myself for the Sky Dive, but would appreciate any donations to go to this great cause and in memory of our Han. I will be recording the sky dive and have pictures for all to see.
Hannah was a Mental Health Nurse herself and she was very passionate in her job. She made a difference in so many lives and she inspired me every day and still does to be a Nurse like her. She particularly worked to raise awareness and educate people around personality disorders, doing this through volunteering and in her own personal time. She has made presentations, done talks and continued to research into overcoming barriers to break the stigma and misunderstanding of personality disorders. As this was something she suffered from tirelessly herself. This is something myself and her other friends hope to carrying on doing in the future in her honour.
Any donations at all are appreciated.
