This March I will be going to live with a host family in Kenya or Uganda as an ICS volunteer for 10-12 weeks. ICS is a volunteering opportunity, funded by the government, and on my placement I will be working with a social enterprise called Balloon Ventures. I will be working amongst volunteers from the UK and young locals from the host country, with an aim to "defeat poverty through entrepreneurship". 

The team will be helping local entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas, becoming an active part of the community, in order to help create jobs and tackle local problems. At the end of our time there, Balloon Ventures will invest in some of the entrepreneur's businesses as a sustainable way of fuelling the local economy. 

This is why I need your help! The money I aim to fundraise is not to pay for my volunteering placement. It goes towards the overall funding of ICS and Balloon Ventures, allowing them to continually develop and sustain projects in countries overseas. I am aiming to raise £800 before the 9th March and any help would be hugely appreciated!
