My name is Lydia Alty and I am a National Anti-Bullying Youth Board Member and YouTuber. I am doing a brand new Campaign which is linked to my Kindness Campaign which I Launched earlier this year. I was inspired to start after I realized a lack in Kindness and simple kind things happening online and in person. I was bullied for my interest and Hobbies, which were and still are acting and YouTube. People found it weird they made fun of me and made fake pages online to send nasty texts, make menes and would send them around the school. I felt like everyone was against me and I felt alone. When I found out about the Diana Award over 2 years ago they have done nothing but support me to become an Anti Bullying Ambassador back in 2018-2019 which I was honoured to do. The Diana Award team have given me a safe space to help others who went through the same type of bullying I went through and meet other lovely people who have or have seen bullying and want to stand strong to stop bullying. I was cyberbullied and verbally bullied and no matter what type of bullying it is it's unacceptable and I want to be a part of that change that happens starting with 'Giving the Gift of Kindness'. Kindness is free and it's something we forget the importance of. But I believe it speaks more than just BE KIND. It opens many doors for so many and can even cheer someone up and make them feel welcome. Kindness can be as simple as smiling across the street or playground. So this fundraiser I'd to support the fantastic Diana Award who support many of other young people as well as training new anti Bullying ambassadors and carrying on Diana's Legacy. Let's raise some funds to help them continue to do that while also spreading awareness.
