Story
We are two student veterinary nurses fundraising for an expedition to Sri Lanka April 2017. We will be volunteering for WECareWorldwide, an animal charity based in the South of the country.
The aim of the trip is to improve animal welfare in Southern Sri Lanka by taking part in trap-neuter-vaccine-release projects to reduce the population, treating injured and sick animals and educating local schools. Currently in Sri Lanka the welfare of animals is under criticism due to many variants including the increased population.
Money generated by fundraising will be donated directly to the charity who will spend this on crucial materials needed for urgent treatment. This may include surgical equipment, medications and consumables.
We are aiming to raise £600 so any donations are greatly appreciated!!
Thank you,
Lydia and Abigail
